Do you have a goal to continue playing sports in college?
The College Recruit is here to help!

Understanding the process of getting recruited to play in college can be tricky and even overwhelming. The College Recruit can help by providing the knowledge, tools and tips necessary to increase your chance of success.

The College Recruit is run by the coaches and recruiting liaison from one of the top ASA softball organizations in the Northern California area. Over the past several years this group of coaches has been very successful in helping talented athletes achieve both their athletic and college recruiting goals. The College Recruit is now dedicated to helping other athletes achieve these same goals. The lessons learned and experience gained in helping the athletes from just one organization get recruited by major D1 schools are now available to you!

But,

  • "My high school coach will get me recruited."
    • The fact is that most athletes are recruited from their competitive travel teams and not out of high school. High schools still plays an important part in a young athlete's life, but most of the upper level athletes tend to play year round at a higher competitive level than high school allows. College coaches know this and will recruit from the travel teams.
  • "I'm playing in showcase and exposure tournaments so I'll get noticed (discovered)."
    • Almost no athletes are "discovered" any more. It takes a lot of work to get the interest of a college coach and the coaches will come and watch those athletes who show the interest in their program. Playing in showcase tournaments is a "must do" in the recruiting process, but it's important that you do the work necessary to get the college coaches to show up to watch you play.
  • "I wrote a letter to a college coach and they didn't respond, so they aren't interested."
    • College coaches are inundated with letters and phone calls. It takes persistence, patience and understanding of the contact rules to effectively communicate with a college coach. Having the proper knowledge and tools makes the process of identifying and communicating with colleges much less stressful.

The College Recruit is working hard to bring you even more tools and services, including:

  • Online articles and information about the recruiting guidelines
  • Letter writing tips and tools
  • Full, online control over your profile info
